Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Christina Mozdzierz
Hi! I’m Dr. Christina Mozdzierz. I graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and spent the following year in Albuquerque, New Mexico completing an internship in medicine and surgery. I am originally from Long Island, NY and I practiced several years in New York and then Washington, DC before settling in the Chicagoland area.
I have always loved animals and some of my fondest childhood memories include camping trips with our dogs, playing with the pigs on my uncle’s farm in Georgia and bringing home my Kindergarten class duck for a weekend. As a veterinarian, I strive to partner with you to provide compassionate care and expertise to help keep your pet healthy and happy. I have a keen interest in preventative medicine, pain management, and feline medicine and behavior. My passion is the human/animal bond. I feel fortunate that everyday I get to be a part of that and help others enjoy the experience of having a healthy, happy pet in their lives.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two daughters. I am a big Disney and Harry Potter fan. I also love nature, going for walks, travel, homemade food, and movie nights. We have a cat, named Duma, who I feel lucky to have rescued after he was relinquished for a life-threatening urinary obstruction. His charming and mischievous antics keep us laughing. One of his favorite activities is jumping at the patio door trying to “catch” snowflakes in the winter, and dashing across the house, “chasing” after squirrels and chipmunks in the spring.
