Veterinarian, Coach, Owner
Dr. Jeni Rogan-Waeltz
Hi! I’m Dr. Jeni Waeltz, the grateful and proud owner of The Welcome Waggin’. Owning and leading a veterinary practice has been one of my favorite dreams come true and has allowed me to build a company rooted in intention, compassion, and deep respect for the human-animal bond.
I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and have spent my career in both private general practice and veterinary leadership and recruiting roles. I am a Certified Professional Coach and an Energy Leadership™ Master Practitioner, and these credentials strongly influence how I practice medicine and how I support pet parents and the team that cares for them.
I have special interests in preventive care, dentistry and oral health, feline medicine, dermatology, weight management, and the thoughtful care of senior and geriatric pets. I believe the best medical decisions are made when pets feel safe and families feel heard. This is why providing care in a pet’s home, or in our carefully designed low-stress Care Center, allows for calmer visits, clearer communication, and more compassionate, individualized care.
Some of the most meaningful moments in veterinary medicine happen when families need guidance through difficult decisions. I approach quality-of-life and end-of-life care with presence, clarity, and deep respect for the bond you share with your pet. This perspective has been shaped not only by my professional experience, but also by caring for my own senior cat at home.
I live in Oswego with my husband and our two daughters, along with a French Bulldog, two Sphynx cats, and one beloved senior kitty. Outside of practice, I enjoy time outdoors, scrapbooking, and being fully present with my family.
