From a young age, I knew I wanted to work in veterinary medicine—I just didn’t see myself becoming a veterinarian. In my late teens, I discovered the role of a veterinary technician, and it immediately felt like the perfect fit: being hands-on with patients, supporting doctors, and helping guide animals and their families through every step of their journey. My passion truly deepened when my childhood dog became ill and we found ourselves in and out of veterinary clinics each week. That experience shaped my heart for this field and inspired me to dedicate my career to helping the next sick pet that crosses my path.

I attended Fox College right out of high school and never looked back. I began my career in emergency medicine in Schaumburg, where I spent eight incredible years learning, growing, and experiencing the intensity and reward that emergency care brings. That foundation taught me invaluable skills and reinforced my love for veterinary medicine. After marrying my husband, Gage, and starting a new chapter together in the Joliet area, I felt ready to grow in a new way. I joined Welcome Waggin to experience veterinary medicine from a different perspective—right in the comfort of clients’ homes. Providing in-home care has given me a deeper appreciation for pets and their unique personalities. I love seeing animals truly be themselves, whether that means wagging tails, favorite toys, or helping doctors provide care in a familiar and comforting environment.

At home, Gage and I share our lives with three cats—Ali, Ralphy, and Naomi. They may not be kids, but they are absolutely our babies and a constant reminder of why I love what I do. ​

When I’m not at work, you can usually find me with Gage at the local hardware store planning our next home project, or spending time at a tattoo shop.
